The scariest thing I have ever done!

What's the scariest thing I've ever done?

Flying to Canada 12 years ago to meet the love of my life, whom I encountered on the Internet was pretty scary. Marrying him just 10 weeks later wasn't scary at all.

Giving birth to twin boys 6 years ago - just 16 months after the arrival of our first son - was rather scary too. Raising them is a challenge but it isn’t scary.

But this – starting my own company - is something different altogether.

I have just launched PoolingPeople.ca - and without a doubt this is the scariest thing I have ever done. It's a new idea - something that has never been done before. Anywhere in the world!

Initial feedback is fantastic and everybody has said “Why on earth didn’t someone think of this before” – which is wonderful. Now I want to see it grow, prosper and spread across Canada as quickly as possible.

    PoolingPeople.ca isn’t rocket science:

Take a company that is either temporarily or permanently overstaffed. Take another company that is looking to increase headcount.

Wouldn’t it make sense for these two businesses to connect with a view to temporarily lending / borrowing or permanently transferring employees? PoolingPeople.ca provides an online platform to do just that. Simple, cost-effective and brand new!

Here’s crossing my fingers people will share my passion and enthusiasm for this solution and see it as a way to increase the company’s profitability (reduction of idle time payments and recruitment fees) and increase employee satisfaction (redundancies can be avoided and when not, the employer can pro-actively help the worker find another challenge).

It’s scary all right, but when (I refuse to say if) PoolingPeople.ca takes off, companies and employees will be happier – and it’s worth being scary for that!
