    Contributions to Roth IRA

I currently contribute the maximum to my 401k account. In 2009 I split my 16k limit between pre-tax contribution and a new Roth 401k account. My wife and I qualify based on our income to each contribute to our Roth IRA held at Vanguard. Can I still contribute money to my Roth IRA if I have contributed to a Roth 401k? I assume there is no connection on contribution limits to a Roth account but want to make sure. More: http://tinyurl.com/401k52
