    Sainsbury's Fabulous Bonus
    Bee22 Pianezza
What if you got a bonus of £500 this year? Sainsbury, the UK's third largest chain of supermarkets, is giving out bonuses of £500 to its staff members. The retailer celebrates its 140th birthday this year, and has reported a profit before sales of 11.3%, which means that each employee will share a bonus of £60 million.

CEO Justin King cites Sainsbury's quick response to consumer trends and to an ever changing environment as being responsible for the company's business growth. People are eating out less and staying home more to cook and so are shopping around for the best prices and best quality.

Justin King has been shortlisted for the HR Excellence Award for most people-focused CEO.
