    Unfortunately, when it comes to breakfast on the go, most of us score very low in the health department. This is not always our fault. Many of the easy grab-and-go breakfasts out there are high in fat, high in sugar and filled with carbs. Not to say that carbs are bad for you, they are just not necessarily the best thing to start your day with if they are not complimented with protein. Starting your day with too many carbs and low protein can mess up your blood-sugar level and cause it to continually be in a state of flux throughout the day.

    The best and healthiest thing to do is to start your day with a healthy dose of protein. By doing this, you will stabilize your blood-sugar level from the get-go. Without the fluxes, you will not feel drained, tired and hungry. Rather, you will feel more energized and you will be less likely to crave sugary snacks that are unhealthy for you.

    There are many options when it comes to considering healthy, on-the-go breakfast choices that are packed with protein.

    Some ideas for healthy, protein-filled breakfasts include:

    - Peanut/ almond butter
