<strong>MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Sept. 4, 2008 </strong> Today, Verified Person, a leading provider of background screening technology, announced the addition of new chief financial officer Steve Dobbins to the Verified Person executive management team. <br />

Before joining Verified Person, Dobbins served as controller for the Spinal and Biologics division of Minneapolis-based Medtronic (NYSE: MDT). There, his 16 years of hands-on leadership helped drive the company from a $12 million startup in 1992 to the $3.5 billion company it is today. <br />

During his time at Medtronic, Dobbins provided financial guidance and strategic leadership for forecasts and industry trend analysis. In addition to overseeing general company accounting, he also ensured compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission regulations and developed strategic plans for evaluating market relationships. <br />

Dobbins is a certified public accountant and has a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn.<br />
