    Talent Acquisition
    Anica Dubey
What is Talent Acquisition ? Often it is understood as the process of finding and hiring candidates and is just left to the discretion of hiring managers and recruiters.well,it's not that simple,Talent acquisition is a well defined process which involves the planning, sourcing, assessing, hiring and on-boarding of top talent. Nowadays the companies are prioritizing sourcing and assessment in order to improve company performance and increase retention rates.More focus is being made on creating Staffing Plans and Strategic Sourcing. Sourcing candidates is a way to identify and attract not only those job candidates who are actively looking for new opportunities but also passive candidates, qualified individuals who are not seeking a new job opportunity.Internet called the e-way of advertising has become the most poular tool for reaching out to these passive candidates, eventually converting them into new hires for the company with less turnaround time.

Assessment involves the skills tests and behavioral assessments necessary to evaluate the ability of the candidate to succeed in a given role. This has helped the companies in hiring good quality top talents and eliminiating those who would be short lived in the company. Therefore,Talent acquisition is no longer the reaction to monthly and yearly hiring needs, but instead is the process of building long-term strategies for filling open and anticipated positions in an organisation.
