    Engineering, drug discovery, product design, complex analytics, and more  knowledge work is increasingly vital to many companies today. According to a recent Newsweek article, "Getting the most out of knowledge workers will be the key to business success for the next quarter century.   By 2010, the offshoring industry for knowledge work is expected to reach $17 billion.<br />

    However, companies that offshore their knowledge work face numerous challenges, including:<br />
    "       Management and staff resistance to working across borders<br />
    "       Under-utilization of staff capabilities in developing countries<br />
    "       Ineffective handoffs between organizations<br />
    "       Staff turnover and rapidly escalating wages in developing countries4<br />
