So, last week we posted the results of our staffing poll Considering Leaving. Since then, the responses are double, but the graph looks about the same. Unscientific though it is, it speaks to the general mood out there. (View the poll here.)

On a personal note, I was in that 38.46% (as of Dec. 8): I had a resume on a job site, but wasn’t actively looking. I had originally posted it more to see how it was done (given my job, this was ‘research’, and totally justified). My husband was also interested in the process, so we did it together and compared notes. But then, it happened: a headhunter contacted me, and now I’m posting my last blog as the editor at HR.com.

I’m excited to be passing the captain’s chair off to another, and leaving the corporate world for a position in the not for profit realm. The office is close to my home, the job is in HR Communications, but internal to the organization that is national (Canadian) in scope. And I got a raise, too!

Was there something that the organization could have done to keep me? No. It’s time for a fresh perspective for it and for me. And for you! Remember, this is your site with your content. We’re always looking for good stuff so take a look on site at crm.hr.com, under the About Us menu in the How to Contribute section. (I couldn’t resist one last plug). Thanks for the past four years: it’s been fun working with, and for, all of you.
