In August I mentioned the ICCO Symposium that took place on October 5th and 6th in New York City. People from all over the world were in attendance including representatives from the north eastern United States, California, Canada and as far away as Mexico and Singapore. We enjoyed the synergy of a wonderful mix of corporations engaged in coaching, executive coaches, and academics/researchers in the field of coaching.
The general consensus of those attending was that the symposium provided specific learnings, actionable insights and developed a stronger sense of coaching community. I personally found great value in the symposium and most enjoyed the discussion around work place stress, the neurosciences and coaching to habitual behaviors.
Anyone involved in the coaching industry will find the ICCO symposia of tremendous value. I am pleased to report that ICCO is committed to holding several Spring and Fall Symposia, alternating between East and West coast US locations including one in Washington, DC. International location Symposia are being planned for 2007 - starting with Mexico City.
Check for future Symposia dates and locations on the ICCO web site at: www.CoachingInOrganizations.com.
