No words adequately express a teenager´s anxiety upon hearing about a school move due to a parent´s new assignment. Trainers for Prudential Relocation´s Intercultural Global Workforce Development (GWD) find that assignee families with teenagers must cope with a unique anxiety: the loss of a familiar school and its curriculum. Curricular questions concern these three groups of assignee families: expatriate Americans, foreign nationals relocating to the U.S., and repatriating Americans. This article addresses some of those key questions and concerns.
