Book Review of Leadership Chronicles of a Corporate Sage
    Sue Bethanis

Dr. Susan Bethanis, a San Francisco-based executive coach, is the CEO of Mariposa Leadership, Inc. - a 12-person firm in its 10th year. Her book, Leadership Chronicles of a Corporate Sage, (Kaplan Publishing, 2004), was voted 2004 Top 10 Business Books by CEOrefresher.com. The following is a book review from Publisher's Weekly:

Bethanis offers a show-don't-tell glimpse into her work of shaping raw, by-the-book executives into kinder-and-gentler powerhouses. Rather than preaching, Bethanis uses a six-month series of sessions with "Max," a top executive whose leadership skills haven't developed as quickly as his career. The reader gains value in the lessons learned through the interplay between the author/coach and her executive/student. From "go slow to go fast" to "coach in-the-moment," the key points hit home fast and clear. The book is extremely refreshing due to its session-by-session dialogue rather than as straight lesson from yet another expert. There is certainly much here to be learned by any businessperson or leader open to taking it all in.

Leadership Chronicles of a Corporate Sage is available at: www.corporatesage.com .
