An advertisement, simply put, is just a notice designed to attract public attention or patronage. You could probably argue that an advertisement is the equivalent of or is analogous to the front door of your home. It is the entranceway to what is inside. It is a preview of what is inside. As the homeowner, you have the opportunity to choose from many different styles and materials and colors. All this presents to the outside world a glimpse of what your tastes are. In the context of recruitment for the purpose of today s presentation, the recruitment advertisement is the front door to your company. It tells the outside world what you value in an employee, what your employment value proposition is and a little bit of a glimpse in regards to what your employment brand is. So, the focus of the webcast this afternoon is to touch on some of the ways to present your company s story through recruitment advertisement. I know every employer has a unique story to tell. They have a unique front door, but the process by which you tell it remains universal across all industries.
