Is your company branding itself as an "environmentally friendly" company? Maybe it is time to do so. Bank of America, Google, and Timberland among others have launched incentive programs that reward employees who purchase hybrid automobiles. Company sponsored cash back incentives - ranging from $2,000 -$5,000 - are driving employees to consider purchases of fuel-saving hybrids where they once would not.
As if that is not enough reason to consider the hybrid fuel savings solution ...residents of Massachusetts may soon be able to take advantage of income tax deductions and sales tax rebates for purchasing select hybrid vehicles. While this type of program is primarily presented as a reward for existing employees, it is not hard to imagine candidates - looking for a reason to choose between two equally appealing companies - to view the "hybrid incentive" as a deal maker or breaker.
So, if you are looking to drive candidates to your positions...save them some fuel, and incent them with a hybrid opportunity.
