In response to the growing demand in China for western-educated MBA graduates, several top western business schools have developed joint programs with Chinese business schools. INSEAD, a top business school with campuses in France and Singapore, recently opened a China campus at Qinghua University in Beijing. MIT´s Sloan School of Management also has a joint program with Qinghua University. This summer, the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) will be launching a joint program in conjunction with Harvard Business School.
These unique joint programs teach students western-style management skills but also give them the opportunity to gain valuable China business experience. Many companies are currently struggling to fill managerial positions in their China offices since local Chinese graduates do not always possess the management and business skills necessary to be successful at a multinational company. These joint programs are designed to provide graduates with both western and eastern style training.
