In a recent Boston Globe article Scott Kirsner mentions a few of the recruitment models - H3.com, Indeed, Jobster, SimplyHired, MKT10 - that present recruiters and jobseekers with new ways to connect.
As one would expect....referral networks are gaining favor as are services that aggregate job postings. It is not suprising to see that some of these new initiatives are being lead by previous leaders at the marquee job boards (Monster, CareerBuilder, et.al.)
Technology finally allows the pay-for-performance recruitment model to gain momentum. And corporate websites now take on new importance as they increasingly become the launching point for job postings ...and the landing point when those postings are viewed by the prospective candidate.
The challenge remains for firms presenting/embracing these models to insure that the content and user interface keeps everyone coming back.
