You hear it over and over again. The most successful people and organizations have a "burning desire," "joy," "passion," and "love" for the work they do.
Inspiration helps us to "get out of ourselves." It helps us to lead larger lives. It helps us to work "on purpose," not just for the money. Can you say the same for your employees?
What have you done lately to inspire your workforce? When´s the last time you´ve done anything inspiring? If you or your employees aren´t focused on "inspiring performance" then just what are you focused on?
Much of what inspires us comes from the stories we tell about our organizations and ourselves. How evident is that story where you work? Is it readily apparent when one walks through your company´s front doors - and its back doors? Is it on the walls of your company and in the hearts of your employees?
Pride of workmanship inspires. Joy in the daily effort inspires. Extraordinary customer service inspires. Having a clear sense of where you´re going inspires. Great leadership inspires.
An ounce of inspiration can result in a pound of productivity. So again, how inspired is your workforce?
