HR.com, the largest social community dedicated to human resources, with 194,000 members, is proud to introduce its Institutes for Human Resources (IHR).

The ultimate goal of IHR is to provide certification and accreditation to industry professionals along particular HR verticals, so that they can obtain deep domain expertise, with hands-on experience. Through this HR.com will be able to build talent pools of highly skilled and trained professionals with critical niche skills and networks that can share best practices across these key HR verticals, helping to further advance the HR executives’ roles in their profession.

IHR’s certification and accreditation process is developed through an independent board of advisors composed of industry experts with access to the latest technology, best practices and thought leaders in their respective spaces.

Fabio Rosati, CEO of Elance and Advisory Board member for Contract Workforce & Talent Exchanges says, "The nature of work is changing rapidly and companies have more avenues and methods to engage talent-on-site, in the cloud, anytime and anywhere in the world. Even the best companies need training and education to stay current and take advantage of these new work models."

IHR is currently covering 18 key HR verticals ranging from Workforce Planning and Analytics, Contract Workforce and Talent Exchanges, Talent Management, RPO and Quality of Hire, to Employee Wellness. Each Institute’s respective website provides a full list of education, conferences, and accredited certification courses for that year.

Education, training and certification credits will be available with “authorized partners” as well as with HR.com educational webcasts, live events and award-winning virtual events.

Debbie McGrath, CEO of HR.com, says, “With so many rapidly changing factors in HR such as social networks and innovations in technology and labor trends, HR executives need access to peers as well as continuous training to stay current.“

Over the course of the certification process, HR executives will have access to leading-edge market research, a network of peers, access to the leading experts in the vertical, practical experience as well as hundreds of hours of training.

Noel Sitzmann, CEO of Previsor and Advisory Board member for the Quality of Hire vertical says, ”As a supplier to the industry we are very excited to be a part of the advisory board that is responsible for ensuring future HR stars have the skills, education, and ability to learn what is relevant and required in today’s business world.”
