HR.com’s Social Media and Employees Communication Program – First Year Anniversary of Online Certification Program.

After one year, online HR education program is thriving and showcasing the proof that busy HR professionals are seeking accreditation in Social Media and social media industry trends.

HR.com’s Institute for Human Resources (IHR), the division of online education focusing on specialized tracks of human resources (HR), just marked another program’s successful first anniversary of full online offering for certification.  In July 2011, the Social Media and Employee Communications division of IHR began offering virtual conferences and webcasts presented by industry experts from around the globe.  Since that launch, there have been more than 7,000 credit hours earned in 59 sessions for HR professionals focusing on social media.  The Social Media and Employee Communications institute requires only 40 credit hours for certification completion, the lowest credit level and an already achievable accomplishment through live or archived webcast sessions available for free on HR.com.

Professionals interested in Social Media information can network with their peers and the virtual community as well as liaise with the industry leaders conducting the sessions.   If participants are unable to view a webcast in live time, the archived version is available online for credit at any time convenient to their schedule.  One webcast to note as a popular example is “The uncommon sense of internal communication why almost everyone struggles and it’s no one’s fault” presented by Russell-Oliver Brooklands, Internal Communication Model.

The next virtual conference in Social Media and Employee Communications is this week on September 12-13, 2012.  Registration is still open for this conference as well as future virtual conferences December 2012 and March 2013.

Check the Schedule for Upcoming Virtual Events or the Archive Listing for all programs with specialized focus in this or any division of HR.  For HR professionals interested in sharing a recent project or topic in Social Media and Employee Communications, Submit an Idea here.
