    HR.com Press Releases

Aventura, FL (PRWEB) February 2, 2005 -- Well into its fifth year of operation, JobsInLogistics.com - the leading job board for the logistics profession - is reporting increased revenues of 70 percent in 2004, its largest sales increase yet.  The record traffic, driven by a huge spike in both recruiter and job seeker traffic, follows four consecutive years of 50 percent sales increases.

"The growth in 2004 can be attributed to three major factors," explained Don Firth, President and CEO of JobsInLogistics.com. "First of all, there was a marked increase in the hiring trend for logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution and manufacturing professionals. Secondly, JobsInLogistics.com has attained a reputation for filling these positions with top quality candidates. And finally, customers often comment on our customer service oriented staff and user-friendly site."

More than 8,000 staffing and recruiting managers have registered on JobsInLogistics.com. The site hosts a wide variety of jobs, ranging from entry level analysts and supervisors to senior vice presidents of logistics. These jobs are viewed by nearly 250,000 logistics professionals in the USA and Canada every month.  The database comprises resumes from more than 100,000 candidates with experience in the various fields within the logistics profession.

"Our competitive advantage, other than being the very first Logistics Job Board on the Internet, is our extensive background, knowledge and experience in logistics," Firth added.  "We know how to attract the top logistics candidates by target marketing our services extensively in logistics magazines, associations and logistics-related Internet sites. In addition, analysts prescreen thousands of resumes each week and invite only the best qualified logistics candidates to register on JobsInLogistics.com."

January 20, 2005 Aurora, ON.  HR.com, the largest research and Web destination for Senior HR Professionals, recently published an article on its site that was written by Grant Armstrong, of the Niagara Credit Union, located in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Armstrong discusses comparisons between managers and great leaders and how one is not the same as the other. Furthermore, he believes that leaders are made, not born, and says, "We have in fact tended to think the competencies demonstrated by people recognized as good leaders are the competencies that are intrinsic in good leadership. However, leadership is much more complex than merely transplanting a number of key attributes on some high potential candidate at some leadership course and expecting them to become the next great leader."

He references the recent Conference Board of Canada research report on Developing Business Leaders for 2010. The focus of the article highlights four basic roles for leaders in the future: Master Strategist, Change Manager, Relationship Builder and Talent Developer.
