HR.com’s Social Media and Employees Communication Program – First Year Anniversary of Online Certification Program.

After one year, online HR education program is thriving and showcasing the proof that busy HR professionals are seeking accreditation in Social Media and social media industry trends.

HR.com’s Institute for Human Resources (IHR), the division of online education focusing on specialized tracks of human resources (HR), just marked another program’s successful first anniversary of full online offering for certification.  In July 2011, the Social Media and Employee Communications division of IHR began offering virtual conferences and webcasts presented by industry experts from around the globe.  Since that launch, there have been more than 7,000 credit hours earned in 59 sessions for HR professionals focusing on social media.  The Social Media and Employee Communications institute requires only 40 credit hours for certification completion, the lowest credit level and an already achievable accomplishment through live or archived webcast sessions available for free on HR.com.

Professionals interested in Social Media information can network with their peers and the virtual community as well as liaise with the industry leaders conducting the sessions.   If participants are unable to view a webcast in live time, the archived version is available online for credit at any time convenient to their schedule.  One webcast to note as a popular example is “The uncommon sense of internal communication why almost everyone struggles and it’s no one’s fault” presented by Russell-Oliver Brooklands, Internal Communication Model.

The next virtual conference in Social Media and Employee Communications is this week on September 12-13, 2012.  Registration is still open for this conference as well as future virtual conferences December 2012 and March 2013.

Check the Schedule for Upcoming Virtual Events or the Archive Listing for all programs with specialized focus in this or any division of HR.  For HR professionals interested in sharing a recent project or topic in Social Media and Employee Communications, Submit an Idea here.

Successful first year delivering free webcasts for certification to HR professionals who specialize in Online Staffing and Sourcing.

HR.com's Institute for Human Resources (IHR), the division of online education focusing on specialized tracks of HR, is marking another program's successful first anniversary of full online offering for certification. In March 2011, the Online Staffing and Sourcing division of IHR began offering virtual conferences and webcasts presented by industry experts from around the globe. Since that launch, there have been more than 6,400 credit hours earned in 67 sessions for HR professionals focusing on online staffing. The Online Staffing and Sourcing institute requires a 60 credit hour minimum making certification completion an achievable accomplishment through live or archived webcast sessions available for free on HR.com.

Many busy executives and professionals working in the area of HR do not have the time or budget money to travel to conferences and seminars to develop their credentials for career growth. This is apparent in the demand for this convenient and focused IHR program where HR.com members can access the free resources and webcasts offered online on any day or anytime. Professionals interested in Online Staffing and Sourcing can network with their peers and the virtual community as well as liaise with the industry leaders conducting the sessions. If participants are unable to view a webcast in live time, the archived version is available online for credit at any time convenient to their schedule. One webcast to note as a popular example is "What Got Us Here, Won't Get Us There. Measuring What Matters in Staffing and Talent Management" presented by Jan van der Hoop of HiringSmart.

Registration is open now for the next virtual conference in Online Staffing and Sourcing scheduled for April 18-19, 2012. There will be more conferences to follow in July and October.

Check the Schedule for Upcoming Virtual Events or Archives Listing for all programs with specialized focus in this or any division of HR. For HR professionals interested in sharing a recent project or topic in Online Staffing and Sourcing, Submit an Idea here.

Online Certification Program Delivers for HR Professionals Specializing in Technology Enabled Learning.

It was one year ago when HR.com’s Institute for Human Resources (IHR) launched a one-of-a-kind virtual certification program for HR professionals who want to specifically upgrade in Technology Enabled Learning.  The convenience of online education for busy professionals is a no-brainer when looking into options for upgrading and advancing their careers.

HR professionals are choosing the virtual learning method where they control their education.  They have access to the Institute’s collection of knowledgeable industry experts as an unmatched faculty line-up, the latest learning technology, and the most up-to-date relevant webcast content, all from the comfort of their own favorite laptop location.  Each webcast selected and viewed earns one IHR credit hour for a participant to count towards their certification.   In addition, those unable to view webcasts live and participate in liaising and sharing with presenters can opt to view any preferred archived webcasts at any time of day convenient to them.  The best part – there is no fee for viewing a webcast!

Examination of the past year shows a resounding 4,500 plus attendees received credit in 71 Technology Enabled Learning webcasts, all available now in online archives.   Completion of certification in this program requires a minimum of 80 credits indicating graduation from this specialty will be possible later in the year with the offering of more webcasts and virtual conferences.

Upcoming Technology Enabled Learning virtual events this year are scheduled for June and September.   An example of a past session attracting large interest from participants was “Make Your Online Training Unforgettable” presented by Linda Uli from Cisco Systems.

“The Institute for Human Resources provides valuable services to Training and HR professionals in the areas of building communities, providing education and developing the industry overall. I’m impressed with the breadth and depth of content and resources that IHR offers. IHR sets a new, high standard for professional development that strongly advances the training and HR industry.  I am honored to be a part of this community, and appreciate all that IHR provides to industry professionals.”
Dan Cox, CEO, Cox eLearning Consultants, LLC
