Engagement Declines
Modern Survey released results of their periodic employee engagement study which showed employee engagement in the U.S. dropped in February 2010 from the previous measure last August. Prior to that, it had increased from an earlier measurement in August 2008. Is the recession to blame?

Today's economy is starting to breath new life in to HR personnel. The new HR is now more interactive with employees and are contributing more to managers and the organizational strategy. Five to ten years ago saw the decline in HR as a valued department and more of a "pencil and paper pushing" department with very little to contribute to the overall organizations strategy. Not anymore!
