We’re seeking a talented and motivated full-time Data Engineer to join our team. We’re looking for an individual who can assist in managing the Data and Analytics infrastructure to power the rest of the company. The ability to think on one’s feet, enjoy collaborating with highly technical teams, and be comfortable working asynchronously is essential.
So What Does it Take to be HR.com’s Big Data Doctor?
- Extract, transform, report and clean complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Create interactive dashboards that convey insights from sales and marketing data
- Interpret and communicate analytical findings to business stakeholders through data visualizations.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks relating to ingesting and querying data.
- Design customer-facing Looker visualizations to help HR.com clients understand lead generation and buying patterns
- Analyse trend and usage data on HR.com website with surgical precision.
- Derive insights from our rapidly growing database.
- Report and visualize data on current, past, and prospective members.
- Explore and analyze any and all available data to influence future products, projects and initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders in Product Management, Marketing Operations, and Sales to help build out our data capabilities and drive external customer adoption.
- Be a resource and advocate for data within the organization by teaching and empowering others to use data.
- Write fast and reusable queries and optimize other people’s queries.
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.
- Interface with internal teams to gather requirements and present results.
- Work with Client Success department and resolve data related inquiries.
Data Specialist Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related experience.
- 1-3 years experience working with complex data sources.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and database technology.
- Experience working with Tableau, Looker, or a similar BI software (Bonus points for Looker!).
- Experience using Python to develop data pipelines and perform data analysis, experience working with APIs and developing API integrations would be an asset
- Ability to think critically and solve problems using statistical analysis.
- Experienced using statistics to generate clear and effective recommendations.
- Proven effective communication, presentation, and data visualization skills.
- Data exploration and analysis.
- Experience improving the team’s workflow and proposing solutions
- Take responsibility for report quality and timeline commitments
- Innately curious!!
- Power Excel user!
- Basic working knowledge of HTML,CSS, and JavaScript an asset
